Sabres Firesale Continues

The Buffalo parted ways with yet another defenseman as they sent Robyn Regehr to the Los Angeles Kings for two second round draft picks. So far this season, Regehr has 2 assists and zero goals this season.

Regehr is in the final year of his contract and is expected to become an unrestricted free-agent at the end of the season.

This follows a trade last week where the Sabres sent defenseman Jordan Leopold to the St. Louis Blues for a 2nd round pick and a 5th round pick. Like Regehr, Leopold had few points this season (2 goals, 6 assists).

Leopold is also in the final year of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent.

The Sabres are stock-piling draft-picks and are my guess is that there will be a few more Sabres moving before Wednesday’s deadline.
