Flyers Trade Zolnierczyk to Ducks for Rosehill

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired forward Jay Rosehill from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Harry Zolnierczyk. The 25 year old Zolnierczyk had one assist in seven games with the Flyers this season. Overall, the pesky forward has three goals and four assists in 44 career games with the Broad Street Bullies.

Despite only playing in seven games this season, Zolnierczyk had compiled 36 penalty minutes while averaging 7:33 of ice time. When he was in the line-up, he was a member of the Flyers fourth line. He is yet to play in an NHL playoff game.

The Flyers are getting Jay Rosehill from the Ducks in return. Rosehill has spent the season with the Ducks’ AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals, where he had four goals and eight points. The 27 year old did manage to notch 90 penalty minutes though in his stint with the Admirals.

Rosehill had spent the previous season with the Toronto Maple Leafs where he failed to register a point in 33 games.
