Chaos Erupts at Youth Hockey Game as Player Aggressively Kicks Fallen Opponent

In the heat of the moment, hockey can get… a little aggressive to say the least.

A video has recently surfaced of a youth hockey game getting out of hand, and a player getting kicked in the head with his skate in the scrum.

At the 17 second point of the video, player #27 soccer kicks a player who has fallen and then repeatedly punches him later.

“The good ole hockey game” is not demonstrated in this video. Even though they are just 12, it is detrimental for the sport. It has absolutely no place anywhere. After that, those children need to be taught a lesson on this isn’t acceptable.

Also to blame for allowing things to spiral out of control are the referees.

Hockey players, let’s be and do better.

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me? Shoot me an email: iburdetskiy@hookedonhockey.com and let's talk some hockey!
