WATCH: Every GOAL from Game 1 between Arizona Coyotes vs Nashville Predators (Stanley Cup Qualifiers)

The Coyotes kick-started game 1 with one of the oddest ways to score an opening goal:

The Yotes kept on howling on more goals in the first period with Christian Dvorak doubling the lead:

Then Clayton Keller made it 3-0 Yotes on the powerplay late into the first period:

The Preds would sneak in a goal right before the first intermission thanks in part for being on the powerplay:

Late in the second period however Michael Grabner found himself on a breakaway for a shorthanded tally to give the Yotes a 3-goal lead once again:

The Predators would strike in the first minute of 3rd period to get within two goals once again from a goal by Ryan Ellis:

Filip Forsberg scored his second of the game on the powerplay to draw the Preds within one with just over half the 3rd period to go:

It was too little too late in the end as the Yotes held on to win 4-3 and take the series lead.

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me? Shoot me an email: iburdetskiy@hookedonhockey.com and let's talk some hockey!
