Vladimir Tarasenko willing to waive no trade clause for these 4 teams

There has been trade speculation around Tarasenko for years now, given his injury troubles since that title run in 2019. The 29-year-old winger has played just 34 games over the last two seasons, recording seven goals in the process. For $7.5MM per season, the Blues aren’t getting enough production (even if his injury issues are out of his control) and now the team could be looking to shed that expensive asset.

His two goals in the Blues’ final game against the Colorado Avalanche gave fans something to be optimistic about, but he didn’t look like himself after his return from rehabbing his latest surgery. He was tentative, and his four goals and ten assists during the last regular season was evidence that he still was not playing at full blast.

Tarasenko has two years left on his current contract and holds a full no-trade clause, meaning he decides whether the Blues are even able to move him at all.

Doug Armstrong is said to be exploring his options with his marquee right-winger. Tarasenko has reportedly let Armstrong know a list of teams.

Those four teams are the Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders, Vegas Golden Knights, and Boston Bruins.

So don’t be shocked if a potential trade is made with one of these four teams sometime during this offseason.

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me?
