Former NHL Referee Tim Peel Holds Nothing Back in Assessing Auston Matthews’ Playoff Efforts

After the Leafs’ game 5 loss, Tim Peel, a former NHL official, criticized Auston Matthews.

In a Twitter rant on Saturday, Tim Peel fired shots at Auston Matthews claiming he doesn’t have what it takes to lead a team in the playoffs.

Peel’s criticism of Matthews as soft is odd given how he intimidated young officials at a peewee hockey game.

Peel raises the possibility that the Leafs should make significant roster adjustments in another tweet.

Despite the fact that this is uncalled for, Matthews and the Leafs are getting the final laugh because they work for the NHL while Peel continues to be unemployed and tweet.
