Will The LA Kings Win The Stanley Cup For A Second Consecutive Season?

The 2014-15 NHL season is now under way and with the first month in the books the tables are starting to take shape. Last year saw the Stanley Cup taking a turn that wasn’t expected by any betting man, seeing only one Canadian team, the Montreal Canadiens, entering the playoffs. Bearing this surprising occurrence in mind, it might be useful to read up before putting any wagers on any teams this time around. So with a good amount of the season ahead, will the LA Kings be worth betting on?

The bookies currently have them in at decent odds, averaging in at around 8/1. Although currently sitting fourth in their division, the Kings can catch fire due to their streaky nature so you need to be careful with any bets you might be looking to place. The Chicago Blackhawks have odds of around 6/1, being favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season. The Boston Bruins come in at an average of around 8/1, though being favored by most bookies above the Kings, it might be worth looking at them first. As we saw last year, the game can be unpredictable and if you aren’t too sure yet on where you would like to place your money, it might be a good idea to get your fix of NHL and gambling somewhere else instead, such as the slots game, “Break Away”.

This casino game, Jackpot City, is the first slot game to take ice hockey as a theme, and goes out of its way to capture all the excitement of an NHL encounter. It does this through first rate reel graphics and neatly integrated sound effects, making it an ultra-realistic game experience. True, the jackpot is relatively low, at $500, but the game has lots of wild icon variants and a free spins feature that together can take your overall payout way beyond the level of the jackpot. Throw in cheap gaming deposit levels and mobile casino convenience, and you can see why Break Away and games like it have swung the sports fans towards the casino.

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me? Shoot me an email: iburdetskiy@hookedonhockey.com and let's talk some hockey!
