  • Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Malone will be out for at least seven days after being placed on the injured reserve list Monday due to a lower body injury he suffered against the New York Rangers on Sunday night. Tampa Bay has not released specifics on Malone’s condition.
  • To replace Malone on the Lightning roster, Tampa Bay has recalled forward Richard Panik from the Syracuse Crunch, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced Monday. Panik, a second-round draft pick of the Lightning in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft, has played in 43 games for the Crunch this season, scoring 21 goals and registering 35 points. The Slovakia native recorded an American Hockey League-high 12-game point streak earlier this season and will bring another big body to the team at 6-foot-1, 208 pounds.

  • The NHL announced the make-up date for the game between the Lightning and the Boston Bruins that was postponed on Saturday due to unsafe driving conditions for fans and stadium personnel. The game will be played on Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. The game becomes part of a back-to-back for the Lightning, who will play at home against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night before traveling to Boston.
