Dallas Stars 2nd Round Pick, Artem Grushnikov, played under a fake name in Belarus this past season

With the 48th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, the Stars selected Artem Grushnikov on Saturday from CSKA 2 of the Russia-Jr. league. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound defenseman posted five points (one goal, four assists) in 29 games with CSKA 2 and two points (both assists) in eight appearances with the CSKA Under-17 team during the 2019-20 campaign.

On the international stage, the Voskresensk, Russia native has represented his country at the 2019 World Junior A Challenge, 2019 Ivan Hlinka Memorial and 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The 2nd Round Pick, Artem Grushnikov, played under a fake name in Belarus this past season after the OHL year was canceled (mentioned at 2:30 in the video below).
