Fantasy Hockey Friday #13 (2/6/15)

FHF Key

Flash Sale = Players that are on strong hot streaks that you will need to add immediately before they are claimed by another team.

Bargain Bin = Similar to the Flash Sale category, except these players will not be as highly demanded. They will be claimed relatively quickly, but are not completely known to all teams.

Line Scorers = Players that are currently very low in ownership percentage and includes less-skilled players who are currently playing on productive lines, and have proved/might prove worthy of adding. As every studious fantasy owner knows, line combinations are everything.

FHF

Flash Sale

Cam Talbot – G, 26% owned – New York Rangers

With King Henrik out at least three weeks (possibly longer) due to the recent next injury he received, Talbot will man the crease until he returns. The backup has been remarkable in limited action this season, collecting five wins and earnings a 2.14 GAA and .924 SP.

John Klingberg – D, 37% owned (LW: 12%) – Dallas Stars

Klingberg was named the NHL’s Rookie of the Month in January, and he has not showed any signs of slowing down. He has scored four goals and three assists in his last four games, including a four-point game on January 31st that saw him collect three power play points. He now has 10 goals and 25 points in only 37 games.

Mike Hoffman – C/LW, 16% owned – Ottawa Senators

Hoffman’s hot streak continues. He has scored two goals and three assists in his last five games, giving him 17 goals and 28 points for the year. Even more impressive than that is his incredible plus-minus rating of plus-19…on the Ottawa Senators.

Mike Fisher – C, 19% owned (LW: 14%) – Nashville Predators

Fisher is already off to a great start in the first week of February after an outstanding month of January. Last month he scored 11 points in 12 games (seven goals), and this month he already has four in three games. He has 25 points in 30 games. In addition, he has four power play points in his last nine games.

Bargain Bin

Sean Monahan – C, 39% owned (LW: 35%) – Calgary Flames

Monahan has been an off-and-on player all year, but he has been on since January 15th. From December 6th until then (sixteen games), he had just one goal and five assists. But since that time, he has scored six goals and three assists (nine games). He now has 17 goals and 17 assists on the season, and is on a three-game point streak which includes two power play points.

Michael Del Zotto – D, 13% owned – Philadelphia Flyers

Del Zotto is producing points in bulk right now. In his last seven games he has three goals and seven points. He has also collected a plethora of shots and a boatload of hits.

Cedric Paquette – C, 7% owned – Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay’s third line is on fire. Paquette scored six goals in four games, not including last night’s pointless contest. His linemates Alex Killorn and Jonathan Drouin are producing as well. Killorn has two goals and five assists in his last six games. Drouin has five assists in his last five games.

Mark Stone – RW, 6% owned – Ottawa Senators

In his last eleven games, Stone has been held scoreless only twice. In that span he has scored three goals and eleven points. He has 29 points in 48 games this year.

Jordan Staal – C/LW – 14% owned – Carolina Hurricanes

Staal has six points in his last six games. The Canes haven’t had a great year, but the Staal brothers have great chemistry on the top line. Eric scores the goals, and Jordan sets him up.
