BREAKING NEWS: Edmonton Oilers have extended Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for 8 more years!

Looks like the Edmonton Oilers have worked out a long-term deal to keep Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with the team.
It is being reported the deal is for 8 years at a cap hit of roughly $5.125 million per year ($41 million total).
The extension also includes a full NMC.
This deal should pay off for the Oilers long-term but then again we all have seen how things have been going up in Edmonton when it comes to any type of consistent success….
Hearing EDM and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins have made significant progress on an extension. Sounds like in the area of 8x$5M. This was a long, hard negotiation — but both sides grinded to get it done.
