NHL Releases NEW Playoff Schedule for Saturday & Sunday Games August 29-30th

The NHL has updated and released a new schedule for playoff games this upcoming weekend August 29-30th.

Games will start up again Saturday noontime with a slightly modified schedule after 2 full days of postponed games or better termed a strike by the NHLPA joined by the NHL to stand unified with other leagues also postponing games as a form of protest against systemic racism and police brutality.

Previously due to the postponing of Thursday’s games, the Philadelphia Flyers were going to make this up by taking on the New York Islanders in Game 3 at noon time eastern but have been bumped to an evening time slot slated to start at 7pm ET.

Now the new noontime slot will feature Game 4 of the Tampa Bay Lightning taking on the Boston Bruins. Currently the Lightning lead the series 2-1 after a very dominate victory in Game 3 that saw them put up a 7 spot on the Bruins.

What was originally slated as the 8pm ET start between the Vegas Golden Knights vs Vancouver Canucks has now been moved to a 9:45pm ET puck drop.

Here is what the schedule looks like currently:

Sunday’s schedule has also been modified and will feature 3 games as seen below:

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me? Shoot me an email: iburdetskiy@hookedonhockey.com and let's talk some hockey!
