Average NHL Ticket Prices 2014-2015 Season

Once again with little shock the average cost of ticket prices across the NHL rose roughly 4.4% from the previous year to $62.18 per stub. Of course the Toronto Maple Leafs are found at the top with the most expensive highest average season ticket price at $113.66 which is up roughly 2.4% from last season.

The 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks come in with the 4th highest average ticket price of $78.80 in the league. Sometimes success surely does pay off as the team has captured 3 Stanley Cups in the last 6 years. The runner-up Tampa Bay Lightning had the 3rd cheapest average ticket price at $44.50 in the league.

Surprisingly enough the Florida Panthers decreased their average ticket price more than 18% from last season to come in as the least expensive ticket for the 2014-15 season. In all, twenty-five teams increased their ticket prices by at least 1% or more.

Fun fact: The average beer price went up to $7.45 for a 16-0unce beer. The New York Rangers reported the most expensive “cheapest” beer at $10.50 for a 24-ounce pour.

So what do you think of the ticket price increases over the last few seasons: Are you still going to as many games as before?

I grew up playing Ball and Roller Hockey day and night somewhat religiously throughout elementary and middle school. The two don't compare though when I lace up the skates and hit the ice. I live and breathe hockey beyond the perspective of "it's just a game" and I will gladly talk hockey for hours with anyone. Hockey is more than just a lifestyle, it's a culture of passionate people who make memories every time the puck is dropped. Hockey has not only helped me get through some of the hardest times in life but has created some of the best memories to date. Want to talk hockey with me? Shoot me an email: iburdetskiy@hookedonhockey.com and let's talk some hockey!
