Jets Acquire Kubalik

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired forward Tomas Kubalik from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Spencer Machacek. Two AHL players that needed a change of scenery, both players now have a new start and can impress and try to crack the NHL.

In 12 NHL games, Tomas Kubalik has one goal and three assists. The 22-year old was originally selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the fifth round, 135th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Kubalik is a chippy forward, always in the middle of scrums.  He plays with a bit of an edge, but also brings skill.  He is not afraid to go to the net and score dirty goals. Chevedayoff and the Jets are hoping Kubalik continues to progress and turn into a Tomas Holmstrom type player.
