Las Vegas Statue of Liberty Wears Golden Knights Jersey For Stanley Cup Playoffs

Since the inception of the Vegas Golden Knights during the NHL’s 2017 offseason, the Golden Knights have been nothing short of entertaining both on and off of the ice.

From the get-go, hockey fans across the world soon learned that the team’s Twitter account had already set the bar high prior to Vegas even having a single player on its roster. Vegas then opened up the season by winning eight of its first ten games, and eventually won a total of 51 games to clinch a playoff berth.

The 2018 Pacific Division champions opened up the this year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs by winning its’ first ever playoff game and on home ice (1-0 vs. Los Angeles Kings).

What would be Vegas’ next move?

The Golden Knights took things one step further by dressing Sin City’s (replica) Statue of Liberty with a home Vegas’ hockey sweater.

The Knights followed up Lady Liberty’s loud fashion statement with a double-overtime victory, 2-1, against Los Angeles last night on home ice at T-Mobile Arena.

Game three between the Golden Knights and Kings is set to take place Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles with a 10:30 p.m. ET puck drop (NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports).
