Van Riemsdyk ties fastest goal to start period

Toronto Maple Leafs winger James van Riemsdyk tied the NHL record for the fastest goal from the start of a period Friday night March 28th, 2014 when he scored four seconds into the second period against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Van Riemsdyk joins Claude Provost and Denis Savard who both conquered the same record scoring feat in 1957 and 1986 respectively.
