Penguins acquire Jarome Iginla

In a weird turn of events last night, Jarome Iginla is officially a Pittsburgh Penguin and reunited with Team Canada teammates Sidney Crosby and recently acquired Brenden Morrow.  After 16 years of service to the Calgary Flames, the longtime Flames captain needed a change of scenery, so he chose Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In return, the Flames acquired forwards Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski and a 1st round pick in the 2013 draft.

Iginla who was originally drafted by Dallas, has played for Team Canada on the international level several times and most recently alongside Sidney Crosby in Vancouver at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

He is also fifth among all active NHL players in scoring with 1,095 points (525-570) in 1,219 career NHL games.  His 525 goals place him third among active players.
